The Body Palace: Your Life's Evolving Blueprint
While the Life Palace (命宮) represents your innate character — the factory settings you were born with — the Body Palace (身宮, Shen Gong) represents who you become through experience, effort, and conscious choice. It's the bridge between nature and nurture in your Zi Wei Dou Shu chart.
What Makes the Body Palace Unique
The Body Palace is unlike any other palace in ZWDS because it shares space with one of six other palaces rather than occupying its own position. It can overlap with the Life Palace, Wealth Palace, Career Palace, Travel Palace, Spouse Palace, or Fortune Palace. Where it lands reveals which life domain most strongly shapes your personal evolution.
Body Palace Placements
Body Palace in Life Palace (命宮): Your development is self-driven. Inner character and outer expression align closely. What you are at birth is what you become — for better or worse.
Body Palace in Wealth Palace (財帛宮): Your personal growth is intimately connected to financial experiences. Money matters profoundly shape who you become. Career and financial decisions are the primary vehicles for self-development.
Body Palace in Career Palace (官祿宮): Professional life is your greatest teacher. Your career path doesn't just provide income — it fundamentally shapes your identity and values.
Body Palace in Travel Palace (遷移宮): External environments and travel experiences transform you. You grow most when exposed to new places, cultures, and social contexts.
Body Palace in Spouse Palace (夫妻宮): Romantic relationships are your primary growth vehicle. Your partners profoundly shape who you become. Marriage is not just companionship but personal transformation.
Body Palace in Fortune Palace (福德宮): Inner cultivation drives your evolution. Spiritual practice, philosophical inquiry, and emotional development define your life's arc.

Dynamic stars (Qi Sha, Po Jun, Tan Lang): Your personal evolution involves dramatic transformations, reinventions, and courageous leaps. You become bolder and mor
